Where to bring your Clearity Care box

We know that going to a hospital with your Clearity Care box can feel like a lot, at a time that is already hard. You hand it in at the desk and you do not need to explain anything. You are welcome to bring someone with you.

How to get there
By car
Enter the AMC grounds via the Meibergdreef and follow the signs for P1 / Spoedeisende Hulp.
Parking
P1, open 24/7, paid: €0.50 per 10 minutes, €3 per hour, €18 per 24 hours.
Short stop
A few emergency parking spaces at the entrance of the Emergency Department, for short stays only.
By public transport
Station Amsterdam Holendrecht (train and metro) is within walking distance.

Drop off Drop off confirmed 14 Oct: the general Emergency Department, location AMC, 24/7, parking P1 (sources: Amsterdam UMC Spoed, SEH and Parkeren locatie AMC pages). The ED briefing (Bernadette, Mon 19 Oct) confirms what parents say at the desk. Since 23 Oct the Dutch Fetal Biobank's landline 020 566 4818 (confirmed by the owner, as on the print set of 17 Oct), in place of the mobile +31 6 50079553; the directions card asks parents to have the desk call it.

Take care of yourself

When you need to call

Call your midwife, doctor or out-of-hours GP service:

Call immediately

If you have heavy bleeding AND feel dizzy or almost faint.

In an emergency, call 112. No step with your Clearity Care box should ever keep you from getting help.

Call the same day

Heavy bleeding means having to change a thick sanitary pad several times an hour.

    Order it here, ahead or when a miscarriage has begun, or receive it from your healthcare provider. You pay online, and your Inclusion Number arrives by email right after.

  2. Register and collect at home

    Register online with your Inclusion Number. The guide then takes you through each step, one at a time.

  3. Bring it to Amsterdam UMC

    To the Emergency Department of Amsterdam UMC, location AMC, day or night.

  4. The diagnostic examination

    Genetic testing and micro-CT imaging, read together by specialists.

  5. Your report by email

    What we found, and what it may mean for a future pregnancy.

The report turnaround, in weeks, to confirm with the laboratory.
